Taking a Break, Finding Clarity & Returning to Writing

I’m back! After a long three months away from publishing, I’m thrilled to return! Sometimes, life gets in the way, priorities shift, and creative energy fades. But no matter how long you step away, there’s always a way back—and this is mine. Maybe it's the invigorating spirit of 2025, the excitement that comes with a new year, or the beauty of new beginnings and endless possibilities that has caused my pen to be on fire again.

If you’ve ever taken a break from something you love, you know how hard it can be to pick up where you left off . But here’s the secret: you don’t have to wait for the perfect moment—you just have to begin. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been exploring new ways to challenge my creativity, thinking deeply about problem-solving, and setting ambitious writing goals. Writing has always been my way of making sense of the world, and I realized it was time to return—not just with ideas, but with action.

During my break...

At first, my break felt like a mini-vacation, you know? It started as a fun pause from blogging, but then it turned into a break from problem-solving, managing my website, and even keeping up with design trends—basically, a full-on hiatus from everything user experience design! I found myself stuck in a creative rut. Life threw some curveballs my way, like dealing with separation anxiety and the everyday grind of my 9-5. This went on for a bit. But in December, I decided to focus on my comeback. I began brainstorming exciting new ways to spark my creativity, diving deep into content design, ux writing, and setting some personal writing goals.

I'm returning to writing.

Writing was my very first creative outlet. It has always been a core part of how I process ideas and share my thoughts. As a child, I took pleasure in writing poetry and short stories. Over the years, I've taken many breaks from writing but I really have no choice but to return to it everytime. In fact, even though I don't consistenlty publish blogs, I contine to write any chance I get, on a daily basis.

Exciting Adventures Await!

As I step back into my creative and problem solving bag, I’m refining my focus. Over the next 3 months, I plan to:

  • Publish consistently to sharpen my skills and build thought leadership. I’m challenging myself to publish 3 new posts every week for the next 6 weeks, covering creativity, self-help, and user experience. It’s going to be an experiment, and I’m excited to see where it leads.

  • Dive deeper into content design and UX writing to explore how words shape digital experiences, improve usability, and create more meaningful interactions. I want to refine my ability to craft clear, engaging, and accessible content that guides users seamlessly through digital products.

  • Complete certificate courses in content strategy and SEO to enhance my expertise in crafting well-structured, user-centered content. Understanding SEO principles will help me create content that is not only engaging but also discoverable, while content strategy will allow me to take a more holistic approach to designing digital experiences.

  • Update my portfolio website to reflect my growth and showcase my best work in content design and UX writing. I want my portfolio to highlight my skills, process, and the impact of my work, making it clear how I approach solving content challenges.

This isn’t just a writing challenge—it's a dedication to advancing in my career.

The Start of Something New!

I’m excited to embark on this journey of growth and creativity, and I can’t wait to share what I learn along the way. Writing has always been a way for me to explore new ideas, challenge my thinking, and connect with others—and now, I’m committing to it fully. If you’re on a similar path or simply curious about these topics, I’d love for you to join me. Let’s learn, grow, and create meaningful work together!
